Fresh clashes have broken out between police and demonstrators in Ferguson, the suburb of the Missouri city of St. Louis in the United States where an unarmed black teenager was shot by police just over a week ago. Police have fired tear gas at a crowd of protesters ahead of a second night of curfew.
Kurdish leaders in Northern Iraq say their forces have recaptured most of the area around the largest dam in the region, which was seized ten days ago by the Islamist militants. The US says it supported the operation by destroying military equipment and weapons used by the Jihadists close to the dam near the city of Mosul.
An Ebola quarantine center has been attacked and looted in the Liberian capital of Monrovia. Several people who had been monitored for signs for the virus escaped but it’s understood they’ve now been relocated and readmitted to Monrovia’s main hospital.
