The moderate Republican Chris Christie has been re-elected New Jersey’s governor, which has only increased speculation about his White House ambitions in 2016.
The mayor of Toronto has made a public apology and admitted that he’d once smoked crack. He had denied the allegations for months, but police recently said they had a video of him smoking the drug. He said admitting what he called ‘his mistake’ was the most difficult thing he’d ever had to do, but he said he would not resign.
This reported from Northern China: there have been a number of explosions near the Communist Party offices in Taiyuan city in Shanxi province. Police say a series of devices were involved.One person swas killed and eight people were injured in the blast.
